The great thing about technology is that they are capable of producing so many wonderful inventions that are of a real practical use to everyday life. Some good example of such is the 2.4 GHz RFID or radiofrequency Identification used nowadays to track anything from people, pets, animals, products and even machines. This is a great device useful for both science and safety purposes. Even old products and laptops can still be made useful through advances in technology like for example my old Sony VAIO laptop which was brought when the internet was not yet as it is now.

I simply bought a PCMCIA reader for LAN and internet capabilities and now it is able to connect to the internet though a bit slow as of course it is already old. My old desktops can even be upgraded to look newer and if upgraded properly look its best that you can even install those touch screen monitors which are way cool to use for your home. All in all advancements are so great and you just need to research on them on their uses and where to buy them for a great price.
